As a spiritual icon of “The Dark Side of Japan” series, “MT-09” inherits 2021 updates and bursts onto the scene with its new color. In the 2022 model year, “MT-09” retains the symbolic Yamaha “Icon Blue” and well-received “Tech Black”, and provides new color－“Cyan Storm” to bring the 2022 model year MT series a brand-new atmosphere.

“MT-09” inherits the title of Torque Master and keeps the 2021 updates, equipped with a liquid-cooled DOHC 889c.c. three-cylinder engine with lightweight forged piston and crankshaft design to let engine reduce the weight by 300g while enhancing its displacement; complemented with new asymmetrical intake design and lightweight 1.5 chamber exhaust system to let “MT-09” deliver vigorous exhaust notes in ACC. With the wild torque output and succinct handling performance, it has been meeting the demands of those dark motorcyclists who love to challenge themselves and has become a benchmark of “Hyper Naked” sport street bike that is hard to surpass by others.

Yamaha has officially launched the 2022 model year “MT 09” with the new color in Taiwan and has gone on pre-order from now on.
