Yamaha has officially launched the revolutionary re-designed "MT 09" in Taiwan. It has gone on pre-order on Jan 7th, 2021.
As a spiritual icon of "The Dark Side of Japan" series, "MT-09" has been meeting demands for those dark motorcyclists who love to challenge themselves by its wild torque output and agile control performance since it was launched in 2014 and become the icon of "Hyper Naked" sport street bike that is hard to surpass by others. 2021 "MT-09" is powered by brand-new 889 c.c. three-cylinder engine, the weight of the whole bike is reduced by 4 kg, adding six-axis IMU electrical control system to usher revolutionary evolution of state-of-art "MT-09" — "Revolutionizing an Icon".
Featuring "Instrument for the Senses", brand-new "MT-09" focuses its visual perception on the middle of the body. Mating to a light-weight aluminum alloy frame to have a compact and sleek muscular curve design, letting users feel the flow of air from visual perception. Aggressive head style incorporates both LED high and low beams and positioning light, equipping with sufficient light at night and recognizability; New Y-shaped LED rear lights presents its readiness performance; exclusive "Yamaha Spin Forged Wheels" not only have agile style, but also equipped with several advantages such as light weight, high rigidity, and so forth.
Inheriting the title of Torque Master, "MT-09" is armed with ultramodern liquid-cooled DOHC 889 c.c. three-cylinder engine, lightweight forging piston, and crankshaft design, allowing the new engine shaves weight by 300g while enhancing its displacement in the meantime; combining with up-to-date asymmetrical intake design and light weighted 1.5 chamber exhaust system to deliver a vigorous exhaust note in ACC of "MT-09". To bring premium riding enjoyment for riders, all-new "MT-09" adds Quick Shifter and Six-axis IMU Electrical Control System, which is equivalent to the one being used by "YZF-R1", providing multiple electronic auxiliary systems:

The 2021 "MT-09" introduces three colors for consumers to choose from, namely "Storm Flou", "Icon Blue ", and "Raven Black (Matte)":
"Storm Flou": The whole-new third-generation "MT" family colorway, with a dark gray bodywork and red rims, expressing the cold and rebellious family characteristics; the side is decorated with a dual-tone nameplate, which has an eye-catching and avant-garde visual feeling.
"Icon Blue": Originated from Yamaha's master sport bikes-"YZF-R" series, using the highly recognizable Yamaha Racing Blue colorway, providing a passionate sports atmosphere.
"Raven Black (Matte)": The entire bike is coated with matte black, which creates a strong dark night atmosphere and presents a strong sense of mystery.
